Agri and Food Processors Conclave Organised in Udaipur

The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industries of India and Ministry of Food Processing in India along with Maharana Pratap Universtiy of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, and also Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised the Agri and Food Processors Conclave: Finance – Technology – Market at Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur, recently. The one day conference was aimed at providing the SMEs in food, agriculture professionals and students, professional farmers, SHGs, etc. a platform to share their views and learn about the latest initiatives and opportunities available in the field of agro food industries.

The chief guest said that the food processing industry is of enormous significance for the development of Rajasthan and because of the vital linkages and synergies that it promotes between the two pillars of economy for example industry and agriculture. The potential for growth he said is enormous and the consumption of value – added food products would grow at a fast rate. He also said that the consumption of the processed food is growing up. He emphasised on the point that the youth are quite fond of processed food right now and also said that the growth of food processing industry will boost up the economy quite well. It would also raise agricultural yields, meet productivity standards, create employment and raise the living standards of a huge population.
